21/01/10: It's been a while!

Happy New Year everyone! I was lucky enough to spend New Year's Eve in London with my beautiful fiancee Hayley. We managed to get a spot right opposite the Eye, so had an awsome view of the fireworks. What the BBC didn't show was that 5 minutes after the clock struck 12 it started to snow. Everyone started looking up at the sky and cheering! Something I'll never forget. In the same trip we went to see Sister Act -incredible, and Hairspray - funniest show I've ever seen. I also ate too much - but that's a whole other story...

  In other news, I'm intending on writing as many new tracks as possible in 2010 and pitching them here, there and everywhere.

14/09/09:  A spot of news...

From now on I will be using the www.romalakemusic.co.uk web address for this site instead of the old address (www.romalakesongs.moonfruit.com). Why? Well, for one thing it's a bit catchier, and also it's shorter which gives your fingers less work to do. Also, and probably more importantly, I will be pitching a new track very soon direct to a UK artist who has charted in the UK top 40! The track should appear on this page soon(ish).

17/06/09: Another international song licensed!

Today I licensed 'All The Rest' to the same record company that acquired the rights to 'Guardian Angel' last week. More details to follow!

Yesterday we licensed 'Guardian Angel' to a record company for use on an imminent European album release. More details coming soon!

01/06/09:  It's Official, It's Summer Time!

Today has officially been the hottest day of 2009, and I can believe it! Long may this amazing weather continue because as far as songwriting goes, it just seems to help when the sun is shining! I have just started working on a new track with a singer from Slovakia. Watch this space for details...
